Hey Andy I,m considering that brand as opposed to my old traditional metho stove .

When you fill the canister can you leave it for a few weeks in between uses ,or does it evaporate and need to be filled each time prior to use ?

I wasn't aware of how the Origo stove works before. The spirit soaked cartridges are a great idea.

How does the burner/heat adjustment work on them with the two knobs on the front???

Thanks Andy. Delivered down here it will be about $625. I'm tempted to just get one and throw the CNG away. I'll measure up my space and if it fits and I can't get a filling card this week for the gas I think my decision is made.

you wont regret it MB

the flame adjustment is by way of a sliding valve (just a flat stainless plate) that slides ove the opening, when itis fully open the hole in the top of the cartridge is completely exposed and as you turn the flame down less of the hole is exposed. When you turn it off the metal valve completely covers the hole.

If you aren't going to use it for more than a couple of weeks it comes with rubber like seals that you can place over the cardridge holes to prevent the metho evaporating.

The Origo looks to be a lot simpler and less messy than the traditional Maxi type burners. Thanks for making us aware andy.
