Well the universe didn't go in the right direction for me last night. The Baron wasn't for me. Quite a coincidence though.

No, just a statistical fact of life.
If you are racing one hopes for 90% sailing and 10% motoring on and off the mooring/berth.
If you are doing an ocean passage it is 90% sailing, 10% motoring by necessity.
If you are coastal cruising, more than likely it will be 90% motoring, 10% sailing.
I have not done racing but have the other two and that is how the statistics worked out.
