the filling with foam really serves no purpose on a landyacht, but steel of 2mm wall is going to be equivalent to ally with 4mm so the weight diff can be quite close

Thanks for all the advice guys.
I'm not one for buying something that I could build myself. Yeah, it might be cheaper, yes they might do a better job, but creating and building is more than half the fun I reckon, so why let someone else do it :)
And given that Nikrum, I see your point. Always the perfectionist, I'd always want to change things too, so why use SS that's going to end up as scrap well before it rusts :)
