Me thinks you are right Paul......we can snip about 1m off the thing.
Pity though, as the "SUS...pension" is really good.
We were going to have the foresail a lot smaller than the main anyway .....so we can use a much shorter boom. The slot between the 2 won't be as good but we don't want the thing to "torquesk"...and catastrophically deconstruct itself.
We could also put the main mast behind the rear seat.....perhaps even behind the axle. We could sheet this on a broken windsurfer mast section....as per the origional plan.
We do slide the front seat back to the cross member...we had it forward for Naffy.
We also thought about some extra stringers? on either side running from outboard of the rear axles to the steering head...just above floor level. Extra weight though!

Have a big HPV race looming.....might have to put the Madhatten project on hold for a week or so.
Have to rebuild a trashed trike and get it competitive again.
