Looking at the Google Maps I've no doubt of that. it is a pity about the lack of rain. Your turn will come though, we've not long coped more than our share Just ask any Q'lder. I think there are very few that would disagree except those Greedy Mongrels at Cubby Station (Cotton Growers) and they would like to try to store every drop that falls.[}:)].

another picof my other boat... wanted to learn to sail some 30 years ago so i built this boat. Its replica of the life boat on the boat Coumbia early 1900s
all copper clinched nailed riveted, steam bent eastern white oak ribs, cedar planking,
Honduras mahogany trim. and seats cut from a local tree Ca. native black oak.. I had planks 1 inch thick and 24 " wide 16 feet long... cat rigged, set up for double oarlocks.. built 1979.. 4 months

Harleyd, I started melting metal and hearding the puddle last night. I need to buy some sheilding gas so I am welding with flux core for now. I am practicing by repairing a broken umbrella stand. My skills are coming back and your machine is working great. Thanks for loaning it to me.

looked perfectly fine to me, even those high rowlocks
the only thing that looked wrong was the lack of lines and gear that covers the boat when you go sailing. being upside down would account for that.
re the shed. I have found that when mates turn up to get a little job done I get them to clean up the associated part of the shed beforehand and after

boy oh boy... been tooo busy.....the only thing i did was put the lettering on my yacht.. I have a sister who makes signs so she cut me some vinyl "HOLEY MOLEY "
I have a few sets so I put one on the back of my work truck. Did get in touch with my
local skydiving place and confirmed the sewing of my sail.. They make all types of flight suits and such.. Skydance Skydiving is the place if anybody wants to come jump
out of a plane... did it once.. thats enough!!!

Me too. I think my wife had a case of Shirty Liver the Day she arranged a 12,000' Drop for me.. Wasn't happy that 10,000 might do the trick. I loved it though, my 62nd birthday.
So where are the pic's of the LOGO??

Harleyd, The welder is working great. I am working hard too, but mostly trying to jump start my new career. I need to get to it and cut and notch my tubing soon. Hey when my father inlaw comes out to visit I think he would like to come out to your place and see your wooden boat. He is big into woodworking,he restores carousels for a living and loves wooden boats.

How is the sail coming? The way the weather is here (no wind) you will probably sail before I do.

I stopped by the parachute shop and they hadnt got to it yet... but it sure is windy here. most afternoons we get a sw breeze comming up the valley. the Valley heats up and it sucks cool moist air from the San francisco bay. I use to windsurf alot and you could almost set your watch with the breeze. i am hoping to try mine out on a sod farm( where they grow grass for sale) supposedly there is seventy acres out there and the afternoon wind should be just right. If not the ocean is an hour away, might have to try that, good luck with yours hope the wind gods smile on you.....

I am going to approach the owners of our nearby sod farm as well. I looks like the best surface for land yachting would be right after they have removed the sod. This leaves a flat hard surface and there is no chance of tearing up their crop. It would be dirty but fun.

Still no wind here.

Sounds to me the wind has stopped Globally because there is none down this neck of the Woods either.. Wynyard is Flat lining and has been for the last 3 or 4 days..]
Brian, you could always remove the mast and take beast to the top of one of those great big Hill in the Rockies and Try Gravity out You might get some serious speed that way[}:)] I have been watching that silly dang Robson Greene and his Extreme Fishing. Last night the show was over in South East on Trawlers and Heli-Fishing somewhere up in the Back Country. I'd give my Eye Teeth to do that some day. Real pretty country.

I take all the blame for the lack of wind. This has been an ongoing problem since I started windsurfing, now land sailing. I have been skunked at the following world class windy spots: Hawaii, theGorge, Lake Arenos costa rica, Dominican Republic, Bonair, Aruba, and Rio Vista California. I think what I should do is hire myself out when a hurricane is forecast I could just pack up my sailing gear and prevent a disaster. I could have probably saved new Orleans with a board and a 5.0
