Definitely no payment for spectators! Its a a relaxed format with no prize money. Social and fun. There will be a fee for event participants to contribute towards insurance, water safety, and other direct costs.

How far is this from Perth, not sure if the fuel on company hire car will get noticed as a bit excessive?

Yep 5 ain't uncommon for the wave crew, last year my 7/9 were used mainly on my tt, had many high powered sessions, there will be plenty of kites to demo we've nearly all the big brands attending bar 2/3 and heaps of your lesser known brands, so you'll have plenty to play on

Had gusts to about 35knots yesterday. Reakon i could hold the 9m rebel to about 40 or just over

Ok we are booked in for the weekend, apart from the awesome kiting events. Is there anything else planned like BBQ / music etc

were planning a marquee set up after the big dwinder to coronations beach with some music ,food and frostys, also a coach to take us back to town as we might be fairly lashed up, im working on a full description at the moment, so keep an eye on seabreeze /midwest windfest and also seabreeze events, as ill be getting it posted up there, cheers and looking forward to the gig, mick caunce/dave whettingsteel, midwest windfest

We are only planning on having the one "official" down winder where we provide all the water safety, land backup, event etc at the end.
It takes a lot of people to support a relatively long down winder and doing it more than once is a big ask, along with the wave and big air events.

However there is absolutely nothing stopping riders doing as many down winders as they like outside of the official one. But it wont be supported, you're on your own.

No shidting in the dunes trev, theres a new camp spot opening next to corros, peter goode or goodies is or is very close to being open, great bike tracks close by, cheers mick
