Below are the dates for the random gatherings for the members of the Tasmanian Kite Surfing Association. Generally nothing is supplied or implied, attendance is voluntary and free. All individuals are responsible for their own actions, take care and only kite within your abilities!

Stanley Power Duck Shart Off -The Original and Best 28th October 2012

Peggs beach or Black River camp ground, Stanley.
All kite disciplines, wave, freestyle and maybe a first, racing in east inlet!
Saturday night Gourmet cook off *
Naked Sup race, Fishing comp, prizes and giveaways
Camp fire, music and fun!
Byo: gourmet food, tent stuff n **** like that, happy face and all your toys.

Bruny Island Ducktacular November 24-25th
Cloudy corner campsite, Cloudy Bay!
Surf, Sup, Kite, Gourmet Cooking Comp
BYO; camping gear, food, toys, water toys and inflatable objects.

Marrawah Filthy Wave Duck Splatters - Testing Coit Control Since 2006 - Australia Day long weekend 26 th January
Location TBA but usually it's at Greens Beach
Heavy Duty Wave Dudes need only apply!
Kite Waves, surf, sup and fish
Look out for each other as there is no rescue service on the West Coast!

Marion Bay Festival of the Falling Ducks Nuts - March TBA
The youngest gathering of all the ducks!
The camping location has been supplies by local kiters for you to enjoy and respect, all 250 acres of it!
Specialised services included at this Ducks include free camping! Yeeeeoooww!

* Wtf? Gourmet cook off? Well it's easy, every one brings a load of whatever food they like and chuck it on the fire, or add it to the table of scrumptiosity for everyone to smash, many cooks increases

Looks excellent and like the new additions. Can see myself making 3 of them this year which would be rad! (Rad = I'm bringing it back)

I may still be here for the first one, see how work goes, the way these cabinet makers operate here I might be here til Christmas!

Stanley ducks on 28th October which is a sunday.

So does it start on the Saturday 27th or what ?

ok cool, we have public holiday here on thursday 25th (showday) and Ive taken the friday as rec leave, may have to try and have the monday as well

What time are things kicking off on the saturday/sunday ? I'll be there for sure for the naked sup race - and I'm working on getting a new JP sup up there for you guys to have a play with.

I'd take the extra 5 minute effort and order yourself a pizza at stanley if you don't feel like cooking, it's a cracker. and if your at the inlet during the day you could do worse than sample the fish and chips near the wharf. I to will be there, friday afternoon.

Can't wait to sample the Party Island.....what eva it may be.

Sounds good. I know a few lads from the south are turning up (At least 6 intending to make an appearance that). Expecting many takers from up north? Hoping you guys turn on the weather for some north Vs south relay races.

Leeeethullll!! The lovely crew at parks will drop the chain Friday morning to our favourite eastern end of peggs beach camp ground. there is a nice shelter there now and a couple of water tanks.

If anyone coming could bring a few bits of firewood, cans instead of bottles, naked pictures of themselves with random animals, poker money, torch, tent, delicious foody treats for four, a bag of cookies, three toenails of a South African elk, eye of newt, life jacket and three Swedish backpackers,....

I'll bring a load of firewood and the Elk toenails.

can anyone link to some sort of map with the relevant places marked on it, never driven there before, normally just drive passed on my way to marrawah.

As long as the forecast indicates a bit of wind I'll be heading up Friday morning.
Long range forecast looks ok though maybe a little cold. Still i need something, you guys up north seem to be having quite a bit of wind whereas down south it been pretty ordinary, either 40 plus or nothing.

in the last 2 months Ive used my 10m once and been overpowered on my 6 for the all the other sessions.
