New GPS tracks in 7-8 knots average (5-8), one of them 3,5 km upwind (total 18.5km track), being the only one going upwind this day, while a lot of kiters where waiting finally for nothing on the sand.

Registered averages from a wind station on the beach, just in the starting point:

constant 8 knots average (45 minutes - 18.5 km track):
connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/86998493

7-8 knots average (18 minutes - 6.5 km track):
connect.garmin.com/activity/86998498

I this case I was using the Argo 2011 17m with the medium bar (53cm) and 40 m lines with 4,6,B,B setting (recommended) and fast turn (central turning attachment) with the rear lines in the 3rd attachment (furthest from the end) of the pre-lines (--> totally powered. Note that I was using a 2010-2011 upgraded bar, with shorter pre-lines than the final 2011 bar).

Remember that I'm 65 kg, but the board used was again a North Race LTD 2010 (I think 29 litter volume), much smaller than 2011-2012 race boards (from 50 to more than 80 litter).

The results were amazing comparing with my first tests!!!

Most repeated comment from people on the beach was that they where surprised about the fast turning speed of such a big kite, even using 40 m lines!!!

A friend doing freestyle and race who tested it told that was much faster than his Bandit II 14m.
