You need to be kiting over here then. All the whales are starting to go past Perth on their way down south. If you kite offshore a little bit, you're bound to run into one.

One of my dive mates spent an hour diving with a mother and baby humpback a couple of weeks ago. He said the whales swam with him for 20-30 minutes and it was amazing. They decided to move on and get away from the whales and score some fish but the whales followed them and they ended up swimming with them again. They unloaded their guns and just swam around. He reckons it was one of the stand out experiences in his life, totally surreal. Reckoned they swan within a metre and the huge eye of the whale staring at him. I wished I was there.

I encountered three huge humpbacks up north last year in a tiny tinny (3.4m). They swam right under me and surfaced 30 feet away. Scared the heck out of me but was amazing. I felt so humble and insignificant. I can only imagine my mates feelings to be in the water with them.

If you kite over a whale and pull the move that Marine is doing that's called:

A WHALEY



Then accidentally land on its eye

WHALEY TO BLIND


Then Fall back onto Blowhole

WHALE TO BLIND WITH POP

the whales look ok but the guy bar looked funny

Maybe someone needs glasses, I don't think Marine looks like any man I've ever seen?

Its at a Inland lake in deepest darkest Africa. A place called Sterkfontein Dam. Pat (Greenpat) would know it well. The lake is 10kmx30km and if the strong, the waves are big enough to Surf.

Indeed I know it well. Before I even read this post down this far I thought - 'that's Sterkies', and I'm not surprised at the height of the jump. Wouldn't matter if you were flying your Grandma's tea-cosy there, the wind absolutely cranks and boosting gets huge.

As for the topless girl, the rules say 'no inappropriate nudity' and 'no pornography', but I would think this could be categorised as 'appropriate nudity', if there's such a thing. The right beach on the right day and you're almost guaranteed to see such sights, and this site is all about the right day and the right beach isn't it? That's what I reckon anyway, so I'm going to leave it for now, but Laurie may disagree. The never ending 'grey area' of moderation...
