I snuck in there the other day. I was highly offensive as i unleashed a foil and proceeded to kite around with any pumping.... very rude.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the council making their intentions known in a shady and underhanded way. The title of that short article "Setting a Lead" is also concerning because it implies that they are possibly considering other restrictions or bans..

On the other hand it could just be a letter from some ignorant person..

Which community newpaper was this printed in?

I wonder if the paper are willing to print a counter from the Kite Community's point of view.

It's a good opportunity to promote the existance of WAKSA, growing culture of responsibility amongst kiters and the loss of business and employment as a result of the Woodies shut down.

I'm happy to give it a crack.

Im actually quite pissed at what happened at woodies, and a misquote in what looks like a letter to the editor to me. I have written a right of reply. (name and address supplied). I will also offer one of their reporters a kitesurfing lesson, on the proviso that the do an article.

Guys, you cant expect WAKSA volunteers to do everything, I urge anyone that is an experienced kiter, and likes safety bay to put your point of view across. One will surely make the paper. Heres the link, keep it brief. 250 words or less. PLEASE.
