I liked the video, and seeing how high aspect ratio and how flat the shape of this kite is, I am not surprised to see the 14m working well in 9-10 knots, especially if there is some tidal effect going against the wind. Would be interesting to compare it side by side with a Flysurfer Speed2 15m...

finaly someone who appreciates the fact were kiting and not waiting for the next strong seabreeze to come in.
also the guys in the vid are 50+ and 60+ years old and are some of the few that have made the transition from many years of windsurfing, to kitesurfing. if anything they deserve to be congratulated on their determination to stay on the water. one of them actually has been over 43 knots (speed) on the hydra 12 in that same spot.
there should be more guys out there that dont care how they look or what they ride, as long as they are out there and kiting.

So when we post a high wind vid, you will be guaranteed to add 3-4 knots to the wind meter speed, won't you?... to allow for kite height.

Or maybe not to measure the wind in an area that has a wind shadow.

Hey Jacques, thanks for the positive comments dude. Yeah Iam not real sure how they would compare , I reckon the flysurfer may have a little bit better low end but the top end of the hydra would blitz it.
