Hey, if you're gonna be a one-trick pony with every post bagging certain types of kites, at least learn the correct word for your most hated item. You don't want to look like a learner now, do you?

It's bridle - a noun - as in "the horse's bridle was made of leather," not bridal - an adjective - as in "the bridal party was slightly late, but the wedding was lovely nonetheless."

And sorry, but even if you use the correct word there's nothing especially funny or smiley-worthy about bagging people who use bridled kites.

OK, your continued noob spelling/usage aside, how would you explain that Youri Zoon, who obviously could ride fuels if he liked, regularly finishes on the pkra podium using his bridled rpms? A conspiracy designed to sell rpms and hold Youri back from his true potential?

On the other hand, having 4 lines is clearly just like having a bridle. It's two more connection points than you need and clearly compromises performance and makes you a limp-wristed poser.

Lovely, until you post some footage of yourself absolutely dominating competitions on a two-line kite, how about you back off with your anti-bridle rants?

When a bridal wins a expert comp that encompasses 3d performance, which is competition more involved than 2d course race or performing a falling over turn on a soft transitioning surface. I will be impressed....these feats will be a professionally sponsored fluke and I wont be impressed.

I believe so, they are harnessed up for the noobs of kiteriders.

Would newbs have to pass a "grading" by their peers? Who is competent to be such a judge? Would the ribbons come in different colours like karate belts?

The different opinions on this forum alone will create some serious debate, then we'll have different "schools" with their own grading system (NAUI/PADI JKA/Tai-kwon-do etc) with different allegences.

No, it's all too formal, thats not what I signed up for. I know that I have a poo stance and that I'm learning. I do my best to stay clear of others in the same boat and appreciate the help I get from more experienced kiters. Most do freely give advice, but I have met a few better-than-thou arses out there and I am concerned that me having to wear a label will only fuel their egos.
I do hope that in a couple of years when I'm sh.t-hot I will not be as condesending towards beginners as some people on this forum.
