I just bought a lumix 3m waterproof something,, it takes HD movies and pictures .... but the best thing about this camera, it didn't cost 10 grand and............ I won a 32 inch LCD HD Panasonic Viera TV just for buying it. I reckon that makes it a really good camera too

Slightly o/t, but given we are talking about cameras for kite surfing can anyone recommend a mini / pen camera for kite surfing? Bonus points if the storage is onboard but as smaller is better I'm not too fussed if I have to use a minidv camcorder to record the footage.

I am not interested in broadcast quality but something that will take footage good enough to play on a TV would be nice.

I have seen the go-pro one but the resolution and frame rate are not all that wonderful imo.

is that like dwarf tossing?

is there a special technique for that? like, do you make them stand bolt upright and toss them like a Caber?
or would it be better to use the Hammer throw type approach?

you can get a 640 x 480 waterproof one - but the quality is actually crap, especially the sound. IMO your best off waterproofing a non-water proof camera yourself.
