Don't know if this one has been done before but hear it is What is the oldest kite you still fly? What is the oldest kite you own ,dose it still inflate?
2009 10m Rebel. Flies great. Top end isn't as good as the more recent Rebels and it has a habit of wrapping the 5th line if you crash it but the bar feedback is excellent and it flies so nicely. Worthless second hand so I'll keep flying it until its dead.
I did have the slingshot before the fuel 6m 1999 I think started life as a 2 string gave it to a mate to use valves let go on it and he through it away.

2003
Cabrinha and still flying one owner
This kite's graphics are so old it's come back in fashion.
Currently a 2006 Rhino 16m - Bought brand new for $40 off a shop's "old kite" rack. Surprisingly it's a great kite for light seabreeze foiling, it hangs in super light wind, pulls my fat arse out the water with ease, doesn't stall and relaunches super easy with 5th line. Gets pretty pokey when the wind picks up though. Also still got a few Vegas's 2008 - a good year!
PS> I also had one of those Windwings in the photo above - a 14m "Outrage", Slowest kite ever made!

Naish X2 16 metre 2004 . Its good to get this out now and then for retro days , brings back some great memories . Flew it a couple of weeks ago and it still has good hangtime .
Though not quite in the kite category, it is a 2001/2 Airush Pulley Bar. For making a 4-line kite fly just like a 2-Line kite. These were originally the favourite of handle passers as there was no depower line interrupting the centre of the bar. Also excellent for REAL kite loops! No depower, no safety leash. I still have an Airush 9m Reactor from 2005 in pretty mint condition and yes, last time I pumped it up it was holding air and looking good. Powerful combo ....

P.S. Note the swiveling harness loop!!! State of the art in the day

Not far different from the Ozone Turbo bar, which is great for static and ATB flying
Thinking the older kites used to "have more grunt" and with my infinite wisdom went on the following journey back in time seeking light wind grunt and hipster vintage status in the water:
Bought a 16m crossbow 2005 (multi-inflate 1 LE and 7 struts) - flown once never again.
Bought a 2007 12m switchblade (probably my fourth one I have ever owned and also my first kite) for light winds, does the job but turned like a dump truck driven by a one-armed driver, moved it on.
Then bought a 2011 12m switchblade thinking the "newer" style would be faster turning, I could not believe what a slow tank it was with mega bar presure. I loved the 2011's when they came out, thought they were the best kites *ever*
So while year on year it may be hard to notice the changes, you only need to fly an old kite to realise how far they have come.

Not as close as first impressions might suggest either. Ozone turbo bar has a depower style centre lines for the front lines that pass through the bar to the chicken loop just like a normal depower bar. Difficult to apply the brake lines without a similar conversion.
New OS kite, released 2007 and I bought my one in 2009. It's my go to kite for everything. I have not found a kite yet that can perform like it but I do find the wind range is smaller than the newer kites. I try to buy second hand ones when I find them.
