It will happen soon guys regardless of how hard you think it is to do. All it means is that you wont be the ones to do it.
Proof:
1. What Hadlow does now was "impossible" 5 years ago and not even dreamt about 7-8 years ago. (spare me the comments on the kites are better now, because that is obvious but not the point)
2. Check out what wakeboarders and snowboarders do - and by the way they get paid 10-100 times more to do it.
Simply a matter of time combined with the imagination and determination of some 12 yr old somewhere.
We are all so yesterday............
Wrong.
What part of what Hadlow does was impossible? it was all done more than 5 years ago (even 7 to 8) in some shape or form, most of it exactly the same.
Of course it can be and probably will be done by someone, you only need to look at skating to realise that. But a difference that is perfectly highlighted in skating as it must be in surf or kite is that the switch trick/ riding actually has to be good... It has to be up there with everything else you do. There is a reason you watch a skate film and question whether that whole part was skated switch... It's because they do it so well that you don't know the difference unless you know the rider.
Kiting is far from this stage, very far. People struggle to make it work and look good regular, lets not get ahead of our selfs and froth on the sheer "technicality" of it like it seems to be done in the freestyle side of kiting (Which in my opinion has killed it).
Surfing waves (more than anything else just about) is about flow style and control. Don't wreck it by being another switch frontside claimer.
p.s. I really can't stress how boring it is also to watch someone ride frontside both ways... why would you? Of course I can understand people who want to do it for the thrill and challenge, but don't go acting like its next level riding.
