A final note on this......I had two sessions so far using the sliding hook, and it lifted my wave-riding at least one level (from 0 to 1...may be

) It gives a natural feel for any hip rotations, as I don't rotate against the pull of the kite. Jibe, turns, toe side riding became quite natural and easy....and I am still in my seat harness...
In case someone wants to play with it:
1. wider person needs longer bar (I changed mine to a shorter one).
2. the rope can be a bit looser for smoother transition for the hook between the 3 major points, but not too loose so that it does not compromise depower.
3. unless you have long arm, it is good to use shortened hook and chicken loop...again for maintaining depower range.
