Heard that Ruben Lenten is visiting Australia now and is in Melbourne. Apparently he went riding there on the weekend and put on an awesome display. Have been watching him in his on line video clips and his riding is insane. Did anyone get to see him on the weekend?

I think I saw him at Brighton - riding a fuel with red bull print? Boosting big and throwing kite loops. certainly looked like him.

Yep,

He is staying with a friend of mine in St Kilda. He was slightly injured in Sth Africa before coming to Australia but all seems good now.

He's still wyld on the water, but a softy wen it comes to partying now ha ha!

Hey Bondo when did you see him at Brighton? Why would any person on the planet want to kite there if there was another spot, any spot, possibly available?

I hate Brighton, I always score grief when I kite there, but then I guess I only go there for northerlies, or with the missus and kids to lay on the beach and look at the 'white pointers or more likley leather jackets laying on the beach

' and to get under the feet of other kiters.

yeah saw him at rosebud on sunday killing it with the biggest L3s ive ever seen (in 30 knots), he was also at st.kilda today

This is all very good, no really its good!
Question is how do I get to see him, Is he doing any sponsored appearances or is he just on holiday?
He might need some pointers you see.

Ruubz is here on holidays, actually he claims it as training, but he's spent most of his time on the couch ha ha ha! (yess i know, heeling foot

)

Any who, St.Kilda you woulda seen him there for sure as he is staying literally across the road.....

Yeah went to the Vineyard for drinks last night and he came over. He was really chilled, just waiting for his missus and wasnt even drinking. So we got him a coke. Oh yeah and he has restored my faith in kiteboarding.

Saw him out there today, there were about 50 crew on the pier just watching him go nuts, he nails about 90% of his tricks, he is insane. Best kiting I have seen.

he flies into perth feb 5th, pretty sure he is only hear for 2 weeks with his missus. So no kite stocking, and no flat water titles comps (amen

) ha ha! But definately some siic powered unhooked riding

Can't wait, and our mate Steve Tonini will also be coming in with Ruubz, he was in the last states title dvd/comp.

is he headed back to St Kilda at all. Was hoping to catch some footage of him with my new waterhousing but only due back from honeymoon on the 9th of Feb

Ruben, please come to point henry ,other side of melb 45- 55 min from St Kill. on sunday northeasterly winds 15 - 20 knt.
Some times on a NE wind at point henry it says 15 - 20
but up top its more like 20 -30.
It seams to have another layer of wind up top, which is graet to boost up in too. hope too c u there.

been hangin with him a bit mostly riding st kilda jeff tobias was also down promoting the new slinshot turbo2 over the weekend. Think his best session so far was rosebud a couple of weeks ago where he was doing double handle pass kite loops with a lazy front rool and a down loop on landing pretty sick to see.
