Is this payback because we had the best winter ever here in WA?

I just hit the river with the Easterlies and try to make the trip down to Bogansville to the Pond on a WSW'er.

So i guess this was your 1st winter kiteing in perth then?? Cos this winter was S#*@!
We normally get way more big fronts than what we did this year

So lets all hope the Seabreeze kicks in soon

Got lot of North westers though, the ones that come in a day before the storm. Had heaps of them, magic.

Amen Brother.

Had more 30knot + kites than fingers on both hands. Pinneroo was fun

It may be a mirage but this fri, sat, sun coming looks more like the spring summer patter we should expect. Prob took early to tell, but surely the doldrums needs to end soon.

What a heartbreaker - Melbourne was due for some great wind but it never seemed to eventuate - just turned hot and humid. I hope we aren't in for a repeat of last summer!

No they have down graded the wind here for fri, sat... just about, nearly, could be, the pussiest start to a season in the 12 years I have kited, jurys still out, but the evidence is mounting.

Late arrival of WA seabreezes has got to be beacuse of 1) sea surface temps, 2) sea surface temps, 3) sea surface temps - all of which are rising because we burn coal to heat up burgers and drive around cities in dumb 4WDs to homes with power-guzzling flatscreen TVs [}:)]. Just check the, you guessed it, sea surface temps map in the weather forecast section each day - not just the interpretation of the synoptic outlook with lots of little arrows.

I would say the cause of warmer currents in the west have little to do with the burning of fossil fuels and much more to do with La Nina:

I was having a lend. But more fossil fuel burning means more La Ninas?
