Are you trying to say here that there is very little difference between any modern kites. If an experienced tester can't feel a difference then kite reviews are a bit of a waste anyway for the average rider.

So when buying a kite should I only look at price, build quality and backup?

I think Kiteworld mag has a good honest review section.
They review heaps of different stuff.
