I have had the Fuse for a few test rides and it is a really horrible board. Possibly the second worst board I have tried.

I love my Slingshot Fuse. No good in Chop but great in waves or flat water.

hey radman. i need to ride that cb at some stage so i can tweek for mutant gen 2.

thinking about a himatangi to waikanai run (70km down winder for you aus blokes) playing in the waves ..... mmmh. been thinking about that run for a while.

Give me a yell when your planning to do it i'd be keen can bring the Wave and one of my 5'6 or 5'8 SB's along for us to swap would be an awesome run on the SB,the locals would be keen as.

Most waves come with chop so I don't see the point...but glad ya stoked.

Smaller version...mmm yeh I have thought the same thing from time to time, but I would say smaller sizes would move you more towards the TT end of the spectrum. The Cb wave can be edged like a TT but nowhere near as good at the limits of your kite. It planes very easily. When my bro can't plane, with same kite, same conditions on his 135 TT I can plane, and even do a down winder.

I agree with radman, buying soon a TT for crazy balls to the walls conditions, have a sector 54 for the light stuff, and didn't even contemplate moving on the Wave. Even in moderate winds (compared to kite size), and flat conditions I will still convert it to a decent TT by taking the thrusters out and putting in a couple of TT fins. If swell is a little higher, sloppy crap, two of the side thruster fins just put in (looser feel for more TT stuff but still surfable). When cranking out comes the three fins. Even have ridden it like the makoish setup with the middle thruster that is fun as. Very versatile board for that.

Yeh that could be it, the CB wave has fairly rounded tips...mmm

Nah mutants ride just as good backwards as front wards, just need a slight change of technique

Na, i have to disagree.(but we all like different things)
I have owned a shinn wave for 2 years now, given it alot of hours, but it rides like poo on the way out (thruster fins forwards).
Fins grab and dig in, not good to load up and boost off waves.Dosent hold rail well, more on useing the fins.
I have been looking for 4 years for an alternative to riding waves and free ride style boosting,spinning what ever. I dont enjoy SB,good on a wave but thats it.
Have put larger fins on my TT and is doing as good as anything I have found.
Some mutants are ok but the ones that are seem to be power hungry.
Ummmmmm, after bagging the shinn wave, umm, anyone want to buy one cheap.
Ummmm,,,eeerrrrr, awsome board in the waves and for boosting large
$400 if you want it, or $700 to the mutant lovers

Yeah, each to their own, what some love others hate. Just my opinion.

I have a 5'2 NRG Hawaii epoxy sandwich Mutant it's the best but not to many around.Tried all other boards but this is the one.

thats probably a fair assessment puppet. I'm definately not a purist wave rider. I prefer to "play" amongst the waves than endlessly smack lips down the line.

ps anybody seen any good mutant videos online? .... i can't find anything. its either freestyle or surfboard videos.

You'd have to find old video tapes that have been converted.

I've had a go of the ocean rodeo mako the only problem is they are
A bit to wide good for choppy conditions.But for bottom hand turns
A bit hard to dig the rail in compare to the nrg hawaii epoxy sandwich.
