Looks like it's now a "Big Hair" contest.

I'm thinking it's going to be all pony tails vs, hair gel from here on out.

LOL,

User, that was a token of appreciation after the fellow rider:

1. Kept his kit high in the air instead of low multiple times even though he was downwind of me and other riders (very bad kiting etiquette - only tolerated in case of a beginner)

2. Jumped over my head where his board almost gave me a new hair cut. I'm seriously considering wearing a helmet when he's on the water.

3. Crashed into some other rider due to his continuous out of control/risky riding

4. Was unnecessarily faffing around in the jumping zone

... so I just though someone should tell him that that was not so cool.

As you know it's hard to understand what someone is saying when both are on the water, so I decided to make use of the INTERNATIONAL SIGN (which may be used for not so cool amongst other occasions). Given his distance to myself, I had to do some VISUAL REINFORCEMENT by using both hands/fingers...

The first salvo of the big hair contest

Enter Mo-setera

Claims his pompadoured gives him special rights over all lesser kiters:

Reserves for him an exclusive "jumping area" (we marvel at the swoop of his hairline; kicker shaped and slickened)

Flip goes the finger, up goes the tutde...

Nice job, you got Big hair !!

User, you're next.

OK,I'm on.

Sounds like Moritz might have good cause for his rudeness !

At least he responded with some valid excuses, and not abuse!

Good cause for rudeness?

Valid? excuses?

Me thinks this used brother be sporting the oz style mini mullet.

Think no sideburns and a bit girlish in the rear.

Small hair on this one..

Mo-setera ( mo of a million names ) wins this Big Hair contest.

Note: keep going huge, beach side at dolls (flipping off newbs etc.) and we'll lose it for sure.

I have nothing against newbies and as a sign of that, I'll help you a bit too since you seem to be a newbie to the English language...

Et cetera NOT Et-setera, usually abbreviated to etc. (archaic abbreviations include &/c., &c., and &ca.) is Latin for "and the others." "Et" means "and"; "cetera" means literally "other things." It is often used to represent the logical continuation of some sort of series of descriptions.
For example: We need a lot of fruit: apples, bananas, oranges, etc.
(An error would be using "and etc.," which is redundant — "and and the others".)
The abbreviated versions should always be followed by a full stop (period), and it is customary, even in British English where the serial comma is typically not used, that etc. always be preceded by a comma.

Ottis, but even then it's still wrong...

In lists of persons, et al. is used in place of etc. (an abbreviation of et alii, meaning "and others"). Less common is the use of et al. in lists of places (where it abbreviates et alibi, meaning "and elsewhere".)

So the correct version would be: Mo et al. (no hyphens either)

Well, now that we got this out of our way, I would just like to raise the following thought:

Ottisgrey is a user from WA, with only 36 posts, knows what goes on at Sydney's Botany Bay and hides behind a fake name... How likely is it that he or she has many other usernames???? So shouldn't it be Ottisgrey (I'm scared and need to hide behind a fake username) at al.

Are we done here???

I'm off to go kiting... No need to thank me!!!

Hey all when is the next meeting for the local club and as for the Bunch of elitist locals !Really tolerant of outsiders coment I have sailed at dolls for a long time and we get lots of outsiders and most kiters at dolls are really friendly, the locals always try to help and advise and yep we can be abit intolerant e.g when we see someone pumping up a 18m kite in 25 knots and not listen to the local advice Dolls point kiters are tolerant but we are protective of the beach as not to risk being banned, About time a club got formed
Kite well
