Nice vid mate good to see some kiting in the winter..isn't it great riding around perths flat water locations in the so called off season.In the summer it's so packed with egos and idiots that it is just not fun anymore.I only go there in the winter too.Nice set up with your video looks like you are on the right track .

Great video I enjoyed it a lot!...I don't much about Perth but it looks like you guys have some awesome flat water spots. Does the wind direction change much between summer and winter or is it fairly consistent.

The wind direction in the summer is mainly south westerly sea breezes in the summer and in the winter it is mainly north westerly...North westerlys are not so good on the pond,but straight westerlys are good .Its usually cloudy and cold so there is hardly anyone there.Lots of morning easterlies in the winter too.I have never kited there on an easterly.

You planning on still being in WA this summer? If so, you'd best start listening to the locals and observing the local rules. The pond is great if riders observe the rotation, don't short tack, and generally ride with courtesy. Do that and you'll avoid getting worded up or worse.

Yeh I thought it was said a little strong to, but ADS you been down there on a busy summer day and watched someone short tacking, it gets downright dangerous man. I think that is the main message, maybe not said diplomatically enough maybe.

I did not really want to start this debate but I can't just close my eyes on this. I'm a highly respectful guy and I know the rules at the pond. I've been kiting on that spot for 4 years. I'll always try to respect the rotations and when it's not the case then it's really not on purpose and that happens to everyone.

Yes we were there almost the entire day but we only had one board/harness for 2, we did want to make a good video and we had a gopro which requires the rider to be very close to the camera. I know it is frustrating to share that little spot, especially for locals, but again I always try to be as respectful as possible on the water, at home or at work. Sorry for just being there ...

By the way, I'm local too and I posted this video with the intention to share my passion, our passion, get closer to the WA kite-surf community and make new kite buddies. I thought I was in the right place but I'm quite disappointed, honestly ...
