Unless its over super sharp coral or the water is super cold I don't see the point in wearing booties. You just lose the extra feel between your feet and board - I have worn them surfing and they really suck. Go with turtlehunters proven method.

I find I am wearing booties more and more. The grip with booties is far superior. I have never noticed any lack of feel, especially when kiteboarding.
Either way, the Five Fingers shoes are pretty cool. The design has promise but the KSO models suck in the surf. Any comments from Five Fingers owners?
