The internet has and always will be a negative place. Its a little like looking for positive stories in a newspaper - its about 10% positive and about 90% bad news. Most people write about negative experiences rather than positive. For example, however people honestly go onto the forum and say "Hi, I've got XYZ kite and I've been using it for a year and nothing has happened to my leading edge" but almost every person who has their leading edge explode will post it here, particularly if its not replaced by the manufacturer. How about people posting that someone on the beach didn't fly their kite into a tree vs those that did? You get 90 posts about cabrinha riders flying their kites into trees and not 100000 about those that didn't. Thats why Cabrinha gets a bad rap, they've sold the most kites and they are likely to have had the most problems on the simple basis of percentage product failure.

The other issue is the water is becoming more crowded and will always come here to vent their anger about issues, problems etc. In the past these weren't an issue as the water was less crowded and people could sail around happily but now you'd be hard pressed to find a spot where there are only a handful of you riding and with it being more packed, the impact on other kiters by irresponsible riders is far greater. Just look at any of your local spots and compare them to 3 years ago. As an example, at one location here, there was one school operating and now we have 4.

If that is the reason for banning then SB should take a real good look at itself and even the playing field for all contributers and lessen the pally pally bias that seems to exist.

Disapointing Loz. I can think of several regulars that have nothing but a nasty sh!t stiring and negative vibe that should be waaaayyyy further ahead in the cue for banning.

BTW, I'm not thinking of you here Rellie (although i think your personal attacks on Groper show an inability to let go of former friction and are a tad out of line) as you do post some genuinely informative items and don't make your sole intention of internerd biatch slappin. Here's a simple suggestion:

Acceptable = "I think your argument/idea is ridiculous or even idiotic and here is my reasons why.."

Unacceptable = " I think you are an idiot/tool/turkey etc etc."

The diff is the former example draws attention to the view of/on the topic NOT the individual. BIG diff IMO.

People who communicate through it (internet) are REAL, with real life, real emotions, real sensitivities, just like you. So why would you start calling someone fun king this and that on this forum when your are out of anything intelligent? You wouldn't do it in real life, would you? So why can't we show each other the same respect here as we do on the beaches...? Just because here we get away with it....?
