stamp said..carantoc: here's somewhere for you & mark to go where you can complain about battens and daggerboards, compare board size by litres, & reminisce about the glory days of the 90s-
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/General/leave us to alone discuss proper boardsports...
We do - But it is fkn laughable when it is ALL the time here with people claiming they kited in 35kn or 40kn or whatever.
It is so laughable that we did not find this by ourselves, others brought it to our attention as it is claimers talking sh!t up again. Ergot, could not resist.
So need need to make it personal talkign about "real boardsports" - my issue is with how strong it was not if you were kiting or windsurfing.
Now- it was 25-30 with SOME gusts to 35 later. That happens a lot. A real 35kn day does NOT happen a lot in Perth.
In Gero kiters did solid 35 kn and it is way different. They do that all the time up there.
Listen hard - I never said windsurfing is better, or kiting is not a real sport, I never criticised kiting - all I said was to claim it as a 35kn day is erroneous.
Craggers' post seem to be 35 kn as that was the average wind speed.
Like I said - given the logic from some of you, I have windsurfed LOTS of 50kn days.
NO I have not, in winter I have been out in 30-35kn days which had rare peaks of 50. That is a 30-35 day NOT a 50kn day.
