So the Pm that we didn't vote for is replaced by the PM whose own party didn't want and will soon be beaten by a PM that no one wants. Got that. Aint Australian politics great.

I would also agree to their pay packet to have my photo take sitting in a chair knitting and be married to a gay hairdresser.

The thing is, if you want to attract great leaders you need to give them an incentive. They can earn peanuts running a country or millions running a company. There are some great leaders out there in the business world.

does anyone REALLY know what they are doing in the matrix system

besides we need idiots to believe in what we say, with out them nobody would get support they need, but i suppose we are all idiots in some way or another, maybe we are idiots thinking that we can change it or convince others, maybe they are idiots, everyone is an idiot...

Especially when I remember back before the mining years, when the East Coast did not want to give us a brass razoo,

If you look at the accounts, Western Australia has been a net beneficiary of federal government handouts. It will take a very long time to make up what has been paid out. However you are right in that both major parties are two sides of the same coin.

This coin is an incredible narrow slice of the Australian population. Clearly Australians are increasingly alienated from politics, politiicans and the political system and largely for good reasons.

In all seriousness, I think we just vote for the party, and the party's policies, rather than voting for an individual Prime Minister.

Just remember that locally in your electorate, different parties will promise to delivery different things.

And be thankful that you don't live in Pittwater or Manly Electorates... Tony & Bronwyn's seats... Neither Labor or Liberal spends much money there... Liberal win no matter what, so they don't need to buy votes, and Labor doesn't even begin to try to buy votes... It's almost 'lose-lose' up there!

Liberals: so far up the corporates asses they cant see the light. no policies

Labour: some good ideas, but cant implement them due to incompetence

Greens: some utopian society that just doesnt exist

The others: wacky and weird policies, based on religion or extreme prejudices

Who to vote for? When we voted for Kev we got Jules. When we voted for Jules we get Kev. So when we vote for an Abbot ,do we get a Bishop or Joe or Malcolm.........

thats what I mean by no policies, "strong and credible broadband policy" this could mean nothing or anything. current internet will be fine then by some peoples standards. Just no Netflix, cloud storage or anything fast for business.

There would be none of them if they did not win their local election. Can't be PM if you are not an MP. John Howard found that out.
