That one is definitely one of my favourites, here is another classic that is worth a listen.



One that is on high rotation ATM is Xavier Rudd - Koonyum Sun

I actually bought this cd just before I set off on my annual NW trip (12+hr drive) last year, it was the only cd in my car at the time because I have an Iphone that plays through the car stereo that normally supplies the music. For some reason I blew a fuse and the fm transmitter dock died around Gero and I ended up listening to this cd for hours on end.
You would think I would be sick of it but I still listen to it.

Good choice Funky One, they would have to be a sound mans fav wouldn't they, Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek (sp?) so, so cool, gotta love the Doors.

and great thread Evil Panda, my music tastes are so diverse it's embarrassing at times, but I love hearing what others are listening to.

Always loved it but watched the making of great albums show on 'the doors - the doors' the other night and was absolutely blown away by how simply (virtually no overdubs, all done in live takes) this album was recorded.

Yep & Yep!
Every member of that band was an absolute ball tearer in their respective field.

Agree on both points, Funky one.

Doors - Absolutely Live 1970.
Wore out the vinyl & wasn't released on CD til late 90's.
Still a favourite.

There should be no embarrassment.. although I used to be shy about fessing up to liking Fleetwood Mac (a lot) ABC (one truly great album) and Frente. Quite happy to put them right alongside U2 era 1979-91 (all bollocks after that IMHO tho) Floyd, New Order and Radiohead these days.

Frente Shape - criminally ignored and a sleeper album of all GOLD that just gets better and better (try it Rello - some Beatles on the sleeves in this album)


Radiohead The Bends album.. just soo good it keeps on giving.

Tosca - Suzuki

Perfect on a rainy day. Hypnotic, smoky, subtle beats and grooves. Who could imagine Austrains could be so cool?

I was listening to K&D Sessions (now ~$250 on vinyl, ****!) the other night on my headphones. Sometimes I've got nothing to do after work but walk around the city listening to music. I forgot how good that album was. I walked past a cinema and there was a movie about to play, Submarine 4.5 stars, so I bought a ticket. They were playing Suzuki before the movie.

This is what I do to keep myself away from Kittens.

There has to be a Van Morrison album in there , Tupelo Honey which is one of many that could be mentioned
