Thumbs Up

I have a seventeen footer and done it heaps and heaps of times but gotten flogged sometimes too. I'm going against the grain here but I say don't follow another boat. I mean if you do be careful. I find following a large boat such as a ferry forces you to drive faster than you should . You hit a swell or boat chop or mutation of both at that speed and it isn't good. Also, you concentrate so much on the boat in front u sometimes don't notice wakes coming. Also if you do notice something coming, your area to move left and right is reduced because you are inside another wake and if you much it up the swell you are trying to avoid mutates with the bigger boat chop. I say it is dangerous if you're just gonna hammer behind a big boat, be extra careful.
