lotofwind said...What did I get from the royal wedding????
The royal sh!ts that every tv channel was showing it.

Its a shame a nice aussie girl has married into a bunch of pommie, stuck up,toffee nosed twatts.

$76 million spent just on sercurity.......enough to save millions of people from starvation in a third world country,,,,just on the security, let alone all the rest of the bullpoo.
Royalty.....WTF..... kings and Queens........do they do anything?
Do we need them?
Why do you choose to make such a fuss about spending $76million plus on something like this when they make second rate movies every week on budgets greater than this?
Some of these $100million movies get a few hours airing at some obscure movie theatre somewhere and that's about all.
Nobody lines the streets to see them.
Nobody cheers and waves flags when they see them pass by.
At least in this case it had an immediate audience of billions and was covered by almost every channel on tv.
What better positive publicity could anyone ask for than that?
No matter how good or bad the product is that sort of advertising is impossible to buy.
And I would say in this case, they did an excellent job of selling it.
The people lining the streets and cheering were not there like in third world countries where the crowd is forced to attend and cheer or be shot.
Those people were there of their own free will and cheered because they wanted to.
Many had turned up hours or even days earlier to make sure they got a position where they could only just see the procession for a few minutes.
Every time something like this happens there are always the tight orifices who bleat something to the tune of "the money should have been spent on the poor" or education or health or some other bottomless pit.
No matter how much you spend on these things they will always want more because there will always be poor, ignorant and unhealthy people no matter how much money you throw at them.
If it cost $200milion it was still money well spent and it will pay a dividend to british society for a very long time.
