Wow, having a Hot Dog in a bun, made for a sausage. How strange, it holds more sauce, onions and sausage. It is easier to eat.

But NO. Let us put it in a cheaper, stale piece of sliced bread, breaking apart with the tips sticking out and pretend it's a better method.

And because of you cheapskates there is now a debate about the safety of BBQ'd onions at Bunnings.

As far as I know Bunnings originated from WA, and we use BUNS. Take you 99c a loaf slice of bread and give it to your chooks.

Buns all the way, and why would you even argue that?

Onions on top and must be in a roll with mustard and tomato sauce.

Always have to get one each for the dogs, but both don't get any onions as there are too many farts later.....

. No too much bread in a roll for a skinny sausage. used to get bacon until they banned it. national disgrace.

Fair enough, depends on the organisation and location. Maybe West is Best.

Here at my locals they get the bun/meat/onion ratio (sauce is all you, sausage still hangs out) spot on in a perfect sized bun/roll. I could not imagine the sausages would even half fit in a slice of bread, and the have plenty of girth.

What are they like 5 bucks or something?!. Rich miners paying $15 a pint and $5 a bunnings sos!!. IN qld they use those super skinny woolies value snags so ratio would be all sorts of wrong. But common everywhere to have snag in bread (on diagonal we're not savages)
Twofitty here i think

Has anyone experienced places using low fat sausages Uggghhh

A sausage is meant to have fat for flavor, so why are places making them low-fat? What sort of weirdo decided that was a good idea?

Good to hear that they serve em on the diagonal in Qld. That's a bit uppity, but still acceptable.

Why are some places cheap arses and don't use margarine or butter? Would it kill them to use a knife and some margarine. Next we will have to cook the sausages ourselves.

I don't understand all this discussion about choice, onion above or below, bread or bread rolls. I thought you just walked up with a fiver and said, 'two with, thanks', or 'two without please'.

You take whatever the Bunnings Gods serve up and the only choice you get is which empty sauce bottle you're going to flick a few times to get the dregs out of.

I cooked at the Manly markets Sunday Morning to raise money for the Wynnum High Music program, Bacon, eggs how you want them, sausages and Onion's , no problem's

I also cooked at the Tingalpa Bunnings for the same cause about 6 weeks ago, sausages and onions and that's it, flat out just keeping those two things up to demand, 2 full large packs of snags at a time and they were selling as fast as I could cook. No way could eggs or bacon be accommodated without an extra BBQ and cook.

The local "Men's Shed" were selling them at Bunnings this morning so I grabbed one. Sure enough onions were on the bottom, I made a little remark about it and received a knowing smile.

Tasted the same and sure enough the onions did not vacate the bread... Someone has done some serious R&D on this food stuff and it is definitely a "Game Changer"..

They sure do....they put our attempt last year to shame. They even had little holders for the bread and sausage....

Talking to one of the door people today that I enjoy yakking too, his comments were....'seriously its a major problem on a saturday esp, fat faced slobs dropping their shoit everywhere and not caring.'
He also said "if senior head office really cared all they need to do is 1 door in, 1 door out buy on your way out. But no they are happy to pay our staff to constantly clean up food, and when they do face a situation like we've had this week, the advertising is brilliant.

Meanwhile in the garden section of Bunnings...once that concrete is wet it is slippery as f@rk! Almost gone c_ _ t up a number of times.

Mate of mine slipped and fractured his arm on the wet concrete there. When we spoke to them, the response was...."yeah it gets a bit slippery at times".

Could you please get the cctv footage next time you nearly go c--t up and post it on here, not looking for a really good chuckle, just curious as to which aisle I need to send the missus down

Worked a Bunnings sauasage sizzle yesterday , and even had a lady demand her money back due to the sausage debacle !
Our ruling was if you were going in , onions on the bottom , going to your car whatever you want !
Strange how Bunnings is all OHS for onions , but the oil from sausages had to go down the car park drain WTF !

I think the statements of rich WA miners is getting a little old. Only last week I had to let my Valet go as I needed the cash to give my butler a pay rise. With that debacle and the rennos on my helicopter, I'm really feeling the pinch.

wow, it's amazing how a sausage, onion and a bun can get so much airplay. It is quite a joke really. I really do not think that switching the onion from top to bottom is going to solve this world problem. How are they going to prevent the clumsy rugrat from dropping the whole thing or the bits that have spilled on his shirt to then subtly land on the floor. Ya cant.

It would be easier for Bunnings welcome person at the door say "No fkn food in the store.....thank you" with that lovely sarcastic smile.

in darwin years ago the only bunnings didnt have the sausage sizze i dont think. not often anyway. Bat the back of the carpark was a privately owned gourmet hotdog trailer with skimpy girls in bikinis etc. Reckon he would have made a fortune.
