Was a top year, not too much dub step wubwub and plenty of great songs to made it pretty tough decision...nothing like spending two hours at work picking your top 10 of 2013. So whats your top 10, what is your number 1?

I didnt bother picking any of the really popular songs figuring there would be enough votes for them anyway.

Here's mine to get the ball rolling;

Arctic Monkeys - Arabella
Big Scary - Luck Now
Cloud Control - Promises
Daft Punk - Doin' It Right
Haim - The Wire
James Vincent Mcmorrow - Cavalier
Kite String Tangle, The - Given The Chance
Oliver Tank - Different Speed {Ft. Ta-ku}
London Grammar - Hey Now
Rudimental - Free {Ft. Emeli Sande}

With Rudimental - Free as my number 1 even though there are songs not even in my top 10 that could be there. Hadn't heard this song played to death so it was still relatively fresh for me.

Never heard of any of them. Really happy to hear that there wasn't too much dub step wubwub though.

Only heard Dizzy Rascals once last year and didn't think it was in
but once the search showed it there it was definitely in.

I've never heard of any of them.

In my defense I stopped listening to JJJ about 5yrs ago. All of my music comes in 1-2hr mixes from Soundcloud, or from streaming radio from SomaFM or DI.Fm.

Still, it makes me feel old & decrepit

Evil panda was taking the micky. None of them bands exist.

Listen to Under Oaths list if you want to go mega looping.

Don't listen to it with the misses, she will tell you where to go.

Me neither.
And same; all my music is from Spotify, SoundCloud, PodCasts, Soma FM, and SBS Chill on Sunday mornings.

Ah sorry guys, shouldnt have posted this in the old man section. haha..

Spoilers if anyone wants their count down predictions; www.warmest100.com.au/2013

sample of 17,000 votes people made public were tabulated to generate the list, looks like an awesome countdown regardless of the order!

That's looking interesting. Really thought Lorde's Royals would pip Riptide but what would I know about you youngens and music. Great to see the Preatures in the top 10 but reckon it'll get higher on the final list.....good to see Haim way down the list - too f^&kin country for my liking (in fact I thought someone had changed my radio station and i was listening to Shania Twain when I first heard it) Also not sure of James Blake in the Top 10 either.

Happy to see Vampire Weekend in there a couple times too.

warmest100.com.au/2013/
These guys nailed it last year with picking the no. 1
The order might be slightly out, but I reckon it's will be pretty close.

I find it interesting the fundamental change that has occurred.

It's now legal, presumably, to have the warmest100 site, with the top 100 songs right there to click & play. For free.

Not long ago the music industry RIAA/ARIA/APRA etc would be trying to track IP addresses & sue their own target market for having the cheek to listen to music without coughing up first.

Now maybe they're realised it actually increases sales.

Panda,
Yes that's what is so great about it - Hunters and Collectors are going to be in the Top 100 under the guise of the Avalanches.

Hopefully that's all the heavy metal done for the list too. Somehow a few "songs???" always sneak in between 90 and 100

Have you lads actually listened to the 'quality music' bands James Young, owner of Cherry Bar in Melbourne's AC/DC Lane, suggested?

I just did. And well. Well yeah... Ha ha ha... It's certainly a blast from the past man :)

Not the only one saying that JJJ needs a good shake up.

Who is that guy in the vid? He is passionate alright!

I bet he could do anything he wanted to.

He could easily sell thousands of leather Iphone cases to the masses in a week.
