National Lampoon's 'Vacation'

Caddyshack

There are lots of really crappy movies being repeated on this thread. Top Gun, Caddyshack, The Abyss, The Matrix, Predetor, Groundhog Day - WTF

Spare me. Can someone please poke both my eyes out with a burning stick!

Come on Adolf, give us your top 3

Dunno if its my favourite movie but I have watched 'Snatch' repeatedly, more times than return of the jedi, and can never tire of it.

Are you a scientologist? Or gay? I'm the opposite to you, I can't watch anything with Tom Cruise in it. Not once, let alone over and over.

Da missus says: "Terms of endearment".
Me says: "The Plumber" - great late 70s aussie flick. "Dragnet", a bit of Spinal Tap.
Trailer Park Boys - the original in B&W, before the Series. Watch maybe 20 times, something new always comes up.

Tom Cruise ????? gonna be sick

Wow. Sorry guys but some of you have tastes for the McDonalds cheeseburgers of movies. I've always had a thing for science fiction so there are a few in that genre that I enjoy:

2001: A Space Odyssey (a classic)
Forbidden Planet (a cheesy 50's classic. I think I had the hots for the girl when I was about 13)
Gattaga (love that they fly off to Jupiter dressed in suits and ties)

But probably the top ones would be:

City Of Lost Children (fantastically weird French film)
Das Boot
The Blues Brothers

I'll wade into this with my favourite low-brow movie, 'Supertroopers'. Never get sick of it.

Then I'll go with 'Full Metal Jacket', just the first half for any scene with the drill instructor in it.
'The Siege', with Denzel Washington, and
'Rambo, First Blood'.

Well, I for one cannot stand The Blues Brothers...

I kinda like the Box Office pop-corn top forty formula... and I don't pretend otherwise.

No Country for Old Men was an 'odd' movie that I quite liked and have watched twice now...

I nearly forgot, tragically I will admit to 'The Great Escape' as the movie I have watched and still enjoyed the most times.

Original Star Wars trilogy
Lord of the Rings trilogy (although that gets tiring)
Terminator 1 and 2
Indian Jones trilogy (the never made a 4th one as far as I'm concerned)
Blood Diamond
Point Break (is so 5hit and corny that every time we get boozed we have to put it on)
Days of Thunder (I'll cop flack for this one)
Lawrence of Arabia (like LOTR, it can get tiring but god damn it's brilliant)
Jurassic Park
Back to the Future Trilogy (especially the first one)
Gladiator (directors cut)

there's so many more but I'll leave it there for now.
