Well to be fair they only drove it a few miles but the talking went on and on and on, so they probably didn't use much fuel.

compared to an Abrams tank that gets .....what.......15 gallons to the mile or so? 224 metres to the litre[ish]
fuel tank holds 1900 litres, maximum range of 426 klicks.
but to be fair - it can run on almost any flammable liquid - but that is still a lot of fuel to pump every day.
trivia..an Abrams has roughly double the fuel consumption of a Leopard 2, or a T90

nah......My son was asking the same question about why there were abandoned tanks all over the place in the show,
We googled it and figured "in real life" they would probably have empty fuel tanks.
If you think about it though - even petrol powered vehicles would be running like c rap within a few months, as modern petrol degrades and "goes off" in a short time.
I don't think the movie company would have a bunch of real Abrams tanks lying around [too pricey to feed and maintain]- more likely they are just movie props.

Well, after not even knowing about this show a few days ago, I ended up watching the first two seasons over the weekend. This is exactly the type of show I would never have any interest in, but the OP made me curious to watch at least one episode. After that, I had to keep watching to make sure Shane got what he deserved. Now I need to keep watching cause I can't wait to see Andrea cop it - the egotistical, self-absorbed cow!
By the way, just how much lower can Shane and Rick lower their voices to prove they are more alpha manly than the other?

Yeah, I think I might have seen an episode before and not bothered watching it, but it came up on Google Play and I had some credit, so I bought it...
You too can sit there screaming at the TV, amazed at how stupid people are.
Just finished watching season 4. I still don't get why, but this show has me hooked, and now I need to wait until October for season 5 to be released.
I think its because you want to see the zombies kill them all, but they drag it out sooooo long.
They are playing this on one of the commercial channels at the moment (or maybe SBS?).
I am glad I didn't watch it on a commercial channel otherwise I would have fast forwarded most of it to skip the times where they go on and on about emotions instead of killing the zombies. As it was I fast forwarded a lot of it when watching it on Google Play.
I find the zombie killing bits to be the boring parts. How many times do you want see them shoot a zombie in the head, or hit it with an axe - it's all pretty repetitive.
For me, the best part of the show is that they have managed to keep an interesting and varied story line. Shows die when the writers run out of ideas, but so far I haven't found this to be the case at all. Each time I think it might start to get boring because they'll just have to start doing the same stuff again, they come up with a new scenario. The escape from Terminus is going to be great, although after that, I can't imagine what they'll do next. Hopefully they'll bring the show to an end at the right time, but if they can keep coming up with new ideas, then the more the better!
I also think they've done a pretty good job with the character development as well - it's been a big plus to me. Interesting that as time goes on, each group they meet is more and more hard core, as the good people have died out, and it's only the ruthless that are surviving. Also interesting to note that the zombies were the enemy at the beginning, and now the main enemy is the other people, with the zombies being a sideline distraction. A rather disturbing portrayal of human nature.
