It's kind of interesting, in a bad way, this deal between Vietnam and Russia recently. It's a sign that some nations, who I would have considered borderline democratic are now choosing to join the other team.
.
Russia is just trying to make sure it has people to trade with as other countries cut it off. Vietnam are always happy to have people agree to buy their stuff and help them develop the country. It doesn't mean that the rest of the world is bad, it's just a marriage of convenience.

The point I was trying to make is that the world was opening up until maybe a decade ago, many countries were seeking open trade and there was a movement towards democracy, probably due to the success of The US Europe and elsewhere.
Those times are now behind us as countries are now weighing up their options and picking teams. Team western democracy isn't looking too good at the moment and I think the other team are gaining support for an inevitable showdown.

I think we have an era where there are dictators in charge, under the guise of democracy or communism. This is skewing things badly as their own personal interests are being put ahead of the benefit of their countries.
Russia does not need Ukraine. China does not need to expand. So why are they doing this?
Trade is still very important. If Russia wasn't still selling its resources to the rest of the world, they would be stopping this conflict. Countries that don't care about the war with Ukraine are happy to take products from them or sell products to them because it suits them. Nothing else.
Vietnam is an interesting example. It seems to be well managed and appears to be going through a period of trying to root out corruption at certain levels. It should be looking out for its people. It doesn't care for war at all, just looking after itself.
I think during Covid that the vaccines in Vietnam were sourced from China and Russia. There appear to be a lot of Russian people in Vietnam at the moment. This existed before, but is probably higher now because other countries have a bit of a distaste for Russia at the moment.
Russia apparently provides scholarships in Vietnam and was even there as the USSR during the Vietnam/American war. With lots of ties to the country, trade is only natural.
I don't think any of these 'minor' countries care about getting into a conflict with anyone. They just want to keep what is theirs theirs and trade with others to keep things humming along.

Yes, I've been to Vietnam, communist country, but was quite open. Yes saw plenty of Russians there and China has a big influence. I think Vietnam is interesting too as it was having a bit of an each way bet. But then Putin came to visit and now they are all in, which demonstrates the point that Western democratic countries are losing credibility.
Their neighbors in Thailand are also interesting. Good article on ABC how their 'Deep State' keeps things churning. On the outside they aspire to Western Democratic Ideals, such as legalizing same sex marriage etc. I think, when it comes to showtime, they won't bat for our team.

If someone came along and offered you great trading opportunites and you could benefit, why not? The Americans have provided a lot of aid to Vietnam I think, but it sounds like relations were a bit frosty until recently. Well, that's my guess anyway.
I like Vietnam and it seems they are trying to build themselves up. I remember someone telling me that there were quite a few renewable energy wind plants, yet there were not enough users for the power yet. I am sure that we will see more and more companies second-sourcing from there or developing their factories there.
But as far as Russia is concerned its a market for them and a good one if the rest of the world is not happy with your invasion of Ukraine.

I have never been to Thailand, but I rode into Cambodia from Vietnam and people were talking about Cambodia's factories of people running scams or trying to hack into things. More like a slave camp by the sounds of it. Its a bit of a contrast when you go from Vietnam to Cambodia and see the apparent difference in living standards.

That's, what's happening all over the world, It's all about influence, Western democratic Ideals of democracy and open trade are no longer as influential as they were a decade ago. Supporting Pariah states like Israel tarnishes our brand.
The Serbian PM recently said we are 3-4 months away in Ukraine from a disaster.
Likely meaning an escalation possibly 3rd world war.
He also said there is no talk of peace.
Part of The Great Reset likely.
Part of The Great Reset likely.
Didn't we already do The Great Reset? Wasn't that meant to be Covid?
Oh, I see. "Part of The Great Reset".. That's where you really don't know, but have a stab at something just incase.
Tell me again what the great reset is trying to achieve and who is behind it?
Does the bible talk about the great reset? If not, should we just ignore it?
Worthwhile short listen as to Israeli plans for a two state solution:

Just the usual conservative drivel, straight out of the Trump playbook. You left out burning books, banning abortion and Christian education.
Given that you are not capable of independent thought, did you get that drivel from Qallianceworldwide or PeterSweden himself?
Peter Sweden is quite a guy:
"Peter Imanuelsen (born September 27, 1994), better known as Peter Sweden, is a British far-right speaker and activist. Imanuelsen was originally a Holocaust denier white nationalist, extreme-homophobe, (former?) Flat Earther, (former?) Moon landing denialist, Islamophobe and conspiracy theorist crank who has written that Jews and the Vatican are behind a New World Order. In 2017, Imanuelsen was doxed by the anti-racist organisation Hope not Hate after a news article about his Holocaust denial was published; this happened after Katie Hopkins tweeted a photo of her next to him, which prompted journalists to find out who he was. In response, Imanuelsen has claimed he has since changed his views and apologised for some unspecified something that he no longer believes in. No longer publicly attacking Jews, like he did in 2016, Imanuelsen is now a prominent Islamophobe who says he opposes Islamic immigration into Europe, as well as an anti-vaxxer. He is also not actually Swedish.
As of 2024, Imanuelsen has more than 666,000 followers on Twitter. His following there has grown significantly after Elon Musk acquired the platform. So he has that going for him. He also has over 43,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel.
Imanuelsen is a supporter of creationism pseudoscience and on his website says "I believe that God created all humans coming from one person Adam and Eve."

Trump should be charged with crimes against humanity for pushing the convids vax that harmed so many.

Your great at dismissing stuff, not so great at actually debating it.
Just take the first 3 points for example, why is that conservative drivel. I would be interested to see if you could put a coherent argument forward to dismiss even one of those points.
Cannot access.
You have to watch on YouTube, there is a link in the image above. Unless you are under age.

I'd add supporting farmers and scrapping TV license fee.
Wasn't it Whitlam who scrapped TV licenses in Australia ? If you regard Gough Whitlam as having conservative drivel policies then your political views would have to be so far left you be up your own arse.
It could be argued the very nature of the way in which the BBC is the broadcaster and also the TV licensing authority, with powers of judge, jury and executioner but then sells those legal responsibilities to commercial contractors is very Trump-esque, and so scrapping the fee and the powers private contractors have to collect the 'tax' would be anti-Trump-esque.
The Corbett Report goes thru the passages of a book by Larken Rose - The most Dangerous Superstition.
Starts proper at 12 minutes.
Can relate to the genocide that is currently going on in Gaza.
I Read The Most Dangerous Superstition (And You Can, Too!) (odysee.com)

The Earth is Flat - REBUTTED! by Larken Rose - Larken Rose responds the flat earth theory
I am up to 6 minutes....lol.
At 9 minutes he mentions water will find its level and a plane should NOT have to tip its nose.
His explanation to flat earthers is level on a spherical earth is level as everything is pulled towards the centre of the earth so roads, planes and water meaning the seas are level relative to the sphere.
This i think is his explanation why we do not see to see any curvature lol.

The one thing I get from this is the imagery of you late at night looking at videos on your computer 'Laughing out loud' at the idea that the planet is spheroidal, whilst clutching a rosary and praying to a cross on the wall.
Yous know y'all bang'n on bout the flatness of globes in the wrong thread?
All of these threads have become 'whatever PM33 wants to believe is a conspiracy'.
I was not the one who posted the link to FE i just responded to it.
That was me. You seem to hold Larken Rose's opinion in some esteem. I wondered how you might reconcile his disbelief in a Flat Earth? Surely that offends your innate gullibility?
I looked at many of his clips after listening to the link you posted.
If i had to describe his videos - vague in nearly every topic.
He may well be controlled opposition not sure.

Never of heard of no Larken Rose and never watched no videos but I'll postulate anyways :
It is far more likely he/she is just a simple, old fashioned idiot with an opinion on everything they know nothing about, than some sort of planned double-bluff cover-operative working through the medium of random youtube videos.

Ok, so returning to your post above, "The Corbett Report goes thru the passages of a book by Larken Rose - The most Dangerous Superstition." I gather you are now now telling us that this is drivel?
