If big government knows all why do we need stupid councils .Gone are the days were they new & represented the community because big government didn't know enough about each community & they needed representation then . Now they know everything about everyone so why do we need a bunch off elected assholes who have no training in organising a community wasting our money. . I mean I know of so many examples its just not funny & the bottom line is they just waste money & it's always up to the state or federal government to actually do something for the people .
I would rather be governed by a government that knows about its constituents & has forward planning than have jumped up little agendas that ruin everything for everybody by blocking the inferstucture that is needed for the future .
lets b realistic the more levels of government the more levels of corruption .
Here is a classic example the state government made a law about small home improvements that wouldn't need to go before council in the same week Rockdale council changed there rules to 5 council inspections for a carport & they need 3 days notice before each inspection & none of them can be on the same day & totally against the new standard made every new job matter how big or replacement of existing awning subject to council approval & previously replacement was acceptable if it was under 20mtr2 it was ok state government says 25 mtr2 doesnt need approval now it if it's over 5 . How can a council overturn state . Sutherland changed the building code to suit then changed it back y do we need these idiots it would save a lot of money & people might get some results
