I went to the skin specialist a few weeks back.I have a mole on the back of my leg and another on my back which I always keep a eye on.

I could not believe it when she told me the one in between my toes had to go.

Go to your GP and get them to right a referral to a dermatologist. You cannot see one without a referral.

Where is the best place to get a check up? I went for the first time to... They seem to be quite thorough? But I walked out of there feeling like I needed a second opinion. Does anyone in Perth have a good referal?

i believe being exposed to sunlight, especially direct sunlight is vital for good health.

i stay away from sunglasses for this reason.

a little bit is good.

living, working indoors is a sure way to increase your chance of devolping skin cancer.

Well it's nice to see that you're referencing a source that's a bit more reputable than your normal grist peter but it'd be nice if you didn't misquote them. The article does not say that staying out of the sun gives you skin cancer. It does say:

"There's some evidence, which is strongest in bowel cancer, that low levels of vitamin D in the blood correlate with the risk of developing cancer.

"But that doesn't mean those low levels cause bowel cancer.

(My emphasis). Don't know about you but my bowels and my skin are two very different things.

A relevant question: which sunscreen?

I use a cheap Big W blue 500ml container ("Auscreen")
Works to the point, but gets off my skin as I fall in a lot, and my nose gets red every time.

Tried the "invisible Zinc" but I'm not sure it's any better, and it's hard to get off your skin afterwards. ...except from the nose which got red again yesterday.

Anyone has any recommendations for a total block that stays on?
