Tim Flannery is on the ABC as I type predicting precise figures on deaths caused by Global Warming. By the end of the century 18,000 people will die from Global Warming, using all the key scare words he reports people who work outside without access to Air Conditioning (hang on isnt A/C a major cause of Global Warming?)will die from heat exhaustion, and Old people will die as well from heat stress, as well as the people who will die from heart attacks caused by Global climate change Warming.
He got the numbers from "The Experts"
Global Warming will kill you, Remember people didnt die before Global Warming came along.

Your position on the Roman Catholic Church and its 'positive' contribution to the planet voids any opinion you hold on matters relating to the maintenance of this Pale Blue Dot. Why don't you just quit with these dopey irrationals. Your arguments are neither intelligent nor interesting.

Bit hot under the collar? thats Global Warming forcing you to read them and then thinking your opinion actually matters. Thinking you actually have authority on this forum and that I'm going to heed your non advice is hysterically typical of the youth of today and their sense of entitlement, caused by Climate Change.

Thanks for your contribution to the global warming discussion, If you think i was serious about the roman catholic church then you probably beleive in global warming and God too, but that's your problem. Time for a climate change

^^^^^Loggy you old crusty, learn to quote correctly, I might point out too that you have contributed ZERO to the discussion, I can feel the hate, lol you must get along so well with people in real life, still got all your real teeth?

This thread is titled "Probably caused by global warming" which is poking fun at all the chicken little's of the world proclaiming "the sky is falling in". Get with the program and contribute to the discussion or go burn in your own acid.

See how much Global Warming has affected you? You let people you dont even know get under your skin.

Now go pay some Carbon Tax instead of buying all those hate pills the doc has you on ;)

The unofficial rule of thumb is to lift the minimum habitable floor levels by 0.88m above what was considered the min before the change, for dwellings affected by sea levels

Eg, Mandurah estuary, Busselton, onslow etc etc for WA

I'm not a scientist, just an engineer dealing with the real world

That's about 3.5 km from the usual acceptable spot on some of those 500-meter islands..

It is a scam. Back in the old days you had to pay taxes for God via the church or the king. Now we have to pay for another higher power, climate change. God and the climate can get on quite well without our money. The church, king or other scamsters can't.

If human induced climate change is such a horrific fact that is "the greatest moral challenge of our time", why isn't it illegal to dig up coal and pump up any hydrocarbon we can get our hands on and then sell it to whoever wants it?

Apparently Tim Flannery has bought a fancy house on the side of the Hawkesbury River, probably paid for from his role as the government's chief scaremonger.

Here's something from the web site you quoted flysurfer

"But for those who might argue that these data show us entering a long-term period of decline in global sea level, Willis cautions that sea level drops such as this one cannot last, and over the long-run, the trend remains solidly up. Water flows downhill, and the extra rain will eventually find its way back to the sea. When it does, global sea level will rise again.

"We're heating up the planet, and in the end that means more sea level rise," says Willis. "But El Niño and La Niña always take us on a rainfall rollercoaster, and in years like this they give us sea-level whiplash."

Still, no need to be dumping rubbish in the ocean,

"If human induced climate change is such a horrific fact" ??????What you think it could work out just fine?. Flannery's house is "waterfront" but how high above the water? It will become illegal to burn coal unless we start to do something to reduce our dependence on cheap fossil fuels. In other words do something now and avoid having to do something drastic later. Is that too hard?
