Apple really likes to go out of its way to make life difficult for users after having brainwashed them that it is the best way to do things.
Think that's frustrating - try using iPhone and a Mac together...!
If you use dropbox, MS SkyDrive, or google drive head in to setting on your phone and set up auto upload for the camera roll at hi res - viola
I'd add icloud but with the above and a couple other steps you can take iTunes off the PC

Yup and this crap proves my point. Every digital camera takes better pics, and you plug it into your 'puter and it just bloody works.
On the rare occassion I need to use my phone to take pics, ya get this kinda rubbish with it not working, or requiring iWank2.0 to be installed
I still laugh when I see all the posts about "the new seabreeze does not dispay the upper left 1.2% of my screen properly"
Looked fine on my PC for the last 8yrs with no problems at all.
But like I said whether you are 8, 18 or 80 - it is a pain when one day you plug it in and it works, and next day it doesn't. Then after 50 tires it works again for no reason at all. Is technology going forwards or backwards...? I submit the latter (for the last few years anyway)

If you do this be very careful that it will only upload when on wi-fi. There should be another setting somewhere for that. Otherwise you might snap off 200 mostly blurry pics while at the zoo with the kids/grandkids/whtever and they're all nicely waiting for you by the time you get home - and you've used 3gb of mobile data without realising it.
Sounds more like user error.
If it works one time and not the next you are doing something wrong. If not take it back and tell them its faulty.
If your new volvo worked one day but not the next, wouldnt you return it ????
If its too hard, maybe use your phone for phoning, your camera for cameraing and your transistor radio for your tunes.
its most likely itunes is the problem, a dog of a software package
I asked the Apple technician a few questions on itunes and he asked me why I was using it. Im not sure how you add your pirated songs but otherwise its probably redundant software after the initial setup.
Drag n' drop to add any files... Unless you want to take them off the phone /rolleyes
Maybe check your usb to i phone cable or try another one worked for me . Its heaps better than a bloody HTC one thats for sure every day it would nag me to get on twitter, *ace book( made for" monkeys" as far as I'm concerned.went on there once felt like some sort of predator never again )or some other time wasting thing. I'm so glad I lost that phone
