Truth is they still suffer terribly with reliability.
Most Super Tenere owners buy them for reliability, as the GS beats the ST in most areas on paper.

The ST has 0 known issues, unless you count the rack mod recall (overloaded rear racks could snap on 2010) and some wheel spokes oxidize.
I won't list the GS issues.

The good news is that if in the first 5000kms yours hasn't developed any problems the chances are good it won't for quite a while.
My BM developed strange noises @ 600kms, and was wonkey from the factory... BMW eventually bought it back off me... I did a straight swap for the ST... 0 issues far and it's my daily commuter.

My wife has her own bike. Riding bikes is how we met in the first place.

Looking at that above chart I don’t know weather to feel lucky or unlucky as I have so far avoided many of the listed ways of death listed :)

According to above diagram I might have to consider wearing a helmet on stairs as I'm almost twice as likely to come to grief there. In fact I will avoid riding the bike on stairs altogether
