The reporting I saw of the FBI's assessment that it was a lab leak mentioned the rider that it was a "low confidence" evaluation.
I think that means they think it more probable than other hypotheses, but not necessarily even a 50/50 chance.

Willing to suggest the lab leak theory is only being floated as plausible now because the 'we intentionally poisoned you' theory is far less palatable although it would explain why SARS CoV 2 sequences were being deleted from the world gene bank in the height of the pandemic.

Are you going to apologise to Japie and the wider Seabreeze community? I'm guessing that's as likely as the vax stopping transmission.

Who's going to update Jame's Wiki page to say the lab leak claim is probably true? I reckon it's the least you could do myscreenname, that would be a humble gesture.

Maybe take this up with Derryn Hinch. I'm not sure what you are on about.

You are probably an OK kind of guy, no disrespect. But I'm thinking you are just a tad NQR - and as the saying goes.... 'life is short'.

I wish you lots of luck on your quest for answers.

Actually that was the 'Department of Energy' that gave the low confidence rating. The FBI director went on TV the other day and basically said it likely it came from the lab. I'm guessing the FBI wouldn't go public unless they were pretty confident in their assessment.

I'm quietly confident that the FBI will go public with whatever they want you to and think you will believe. If that weren't true, Assange would be free.

there are two options on this 50/50 scale :
a) it did come from a lab : likely, but with low confidence
b) it didn't come from a lab : mmmmrrgh....yeah, look, no comment.

Whereas bitcoin's worth to the world... ... well, that has even fewer than two options on the 50/50 scale......

If it did come from The Lab then its going to provide a pretty good reason to go to war with China.

Goody! I cannot wait!

Stefan Thomas and James Howells ....

Had to google those two gentlemen.

Wow-ser. What a bummer. James Howells accidentally threw out a hard drive with 7,000 bitcoin on it.

Must be truly gutted.

I mean those hard drives are like a couple hundred bucks for a decent one. I'd be pretty bummed as well if I threw out a decent hard drive I could use to keep my collection of photos of Carantoc's awesome parking spots on.

The other fella has forgotten his password. Yeah, I know. That's why I always use password1234 for all my important passwords like my seabreeze.com.au forum account.

Now, what he has to do is click on the "Forgotten Password" and then, using his two step identification process re-set the password to something a bit easier to remember. If that doesn't work he needs to call the help-desk of his financial institution. I know, I know, it can sometimes be a bit of a wait for somebody to answer to phone but if he just keeps trying....

O. M. G..

I literally, so like, love AC DC.

As I was goin' over
The Cork and Kerry Mountains
I saw Captain Farrell
Whack for my daddy, oh
Whack for my daddy, oh
There's whiskey in the jar, oh
There's whiskey in the jar,

or that one that went...

Exit light
Enter night
The sandman comes....

yeah, argh.....good time memories.

Enjoy.

How do you know if your bitcoin has been doped by the seller ?

They might have added 0.01% silver without telling you.

It might be a risk I am not willing to take.

This dragon is out.

A lot of Bitcoin price action again today.

The bank that went bellyup inspired some more 'believers'

Bitcoin goes in one direction.

Quietly, I'm looking forward and planning how to graciously accept all the apologies in a few months.

Maybe the simple task of saying... 'I was wrong' will be enough

oh gawd,.... I so hope it will be.

Please don't make me eat anymore of that humble pie.

It's not so much the bitter sweet taste as the calories.

Let's just agree now, come June those three words will be enough and that'll be the end of the whole sorry topic.

July we get back to the important stuff - like whether to flush frogs down the dunny, or the price spiral of bug-a-salts.

..never to mention bitcoin again.........

James.... c'mon pops! Lots of old people are stuck in their ways and get it wrong. Humble Pie tastes really bitter, but generational wealth tastes sweet.

It's ok to join the party late - it's still early days.

Bitcoin price has only ever trended in one direction.

All those U.S. banks going belly up this week could be seen as a reason for the steep increase. But who knows? Price is manipulated by whales too.

Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad thinks it will reach $500K in 2 years. I hope he's right.

Except if you paid 90k for it.

But tbh it appears that many of the institutions that invested time or money in it are backing away, perhaps due to pending regulations and FTX situations.

But the last few days are against the trend of following the doe, so it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Normies said that in December 2017 when Bitcoin was $20K. After a couple of years in the wilderness it reached $90K.

If you think that central banks can prevent another global financial meltdown then you might as well believe in Father Christmas.
