So you have identified a large problem. How do you resolve that? There must be a way. What is it? Throwing your hands up in the air and saying 'no one knows' is a terrible approach and getting us nowhere.
For everyone that thinks just because someone is Aboriginal that they know the solution, it's like saying that someone that is white knows all the answers to social problems amongst white people.
Maybe they need a positive role model to look up to.

Racist generalisation.
I would agree it is a generalisation rather than a rule, but I would suggest the comment does capture the circumstances and culture of a very significant % of our remote communities, irrespective of race. That said there are similar welfare cultures within our cities and towns of many different cultural backgrounds. Race is not a factor, culture is.
I would 100% agree with you that these sort of view should not consider race. That is part of the problem.
I would also agree that any effort to address these issues should not be based on race, but solely on need and circumstances. Race should not come into it whatsoever.
If you agree with that, which you seem to, then perhaps you are getting a small idea of why Australia shot down a change to the constitution based on race.

Yeah, it is a bit of a puzzle. I saw the account was created in 2005 but has very few posts. I am sure this is before Psychojoe's presence. So it's not a new account, just a new name for someone hiding.
I thought they stopped you from changing your userid after a certain amount of time, which puzzled me, until I remembered that its probably not how long you have had the account but the amount of posts you have made. They/he/she/it hadn't made many posts which is why they were able to change the name.
