1) Fixed the topics button this morning

2) Mark_aus - sorry mate .. Windows XP? .. too old .. time to upgrade, but some changes coming through today/tomoz which might fix it..

4) Preview button? No longer necessary, as it looks like it does when you've posted it!?!

Also putting some work into the mobile presentation to make it render better there, especially the image viewer.

Quoting destroys the original post's paragraphing - very annoying and murders legibility.

I copied and pasted something from microsoft word today and it went haywire..

After posting a reply on page 3 I am taken back to the top of page 1, which means I can't easily enter the cycle of (re)reading my own post and changing it a dozen times or more.

I had problem posting using an iPad - it refused to recognkne keyboard input when I was trying to insert text in an existing paragraph - mainly at the start of a line.

There's also no button to add a link and while I now know you a can paste an image link into the add image field, there's no mention of that in the pop up.

i think you should take a look at some of the open source editors and consider using one of them instead.

It's been totally reworked today, to enhance support for mobile, and also give you a choice of the plain editor, or the rich editor.

All issues mentioned so far have been addressed, as far as I'm aware, but due to the complexity of the web environment, there will probably still be issues for a few of you.

If you want to help get it right, sorry, you need to get scientific, and let me know : OS / Device, Browser & Version (i.e. PC/IE8)

It's been tested on Windows, in these browsers: IE 9,8, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, iPhone 4, Samsung S3, iPad 4.

Now that's just 8 platforms, and does NOT include all those platforms on Mac, as well as earlier browser versions (at least 50), various HTC phones, Samsung S2 & earlier, iPhone 5/3/2 .. it's just not possible to have all these items on hand.

Yes, this is the new layout .. 25% of the screen was taken up just for the avatar, which is really wasteful on a small mobile screen, plus, not everybody is on a mega dataplan/highspeed, so not downloading the avatars achieves : more screen usage .. faster download .. and less bandwidth.

You also go to the first post in the thread once you've posted. Being a serial editor i find that sh!tfull.

I have found that using the plain text editor doesn't seem to handle carriage returns properly. The resulting text leaves them out and the text is all one block. It seems that I can add a < br / > to do this,
but why?
If you then edit the same text with the RT editor, the CRs come back and display correctly.

This is using Firefox, Win7, a Lenovo thinkpad with a core i5, and a dirty LCD display.

The split screen thing is doing it all the time but at random. It is doing it in the message page and in the shop as well. I just sent you a PM Laurie.

Edit. It only seems unstable with the phone tipped on its side/landscape orientation. Upright it seems ok?
