Some funny comments...
I was thinking about footy team barracking the other day...
I grew up watching Geelong in ths AFL, and watching Gary Ablett Senior, and I missed out on remembering watching John Sammy Newman, just. He finished in the very early 80's, and my recollections and memories of players starts about then.
I remember John Mossop, number 11, won the Carji Greeves Medal (best player at Geelong in 82). (79-86 at The Cats). I also remember Peter Featherby at Geelong (79-83 - Carji Greeves in 81). Robert Neal, 74-86... Michael Turner, etc.
Anyway, there is PASSION is football for some reason... When you win a Grand Final, you remember the occasion like having your first born!

But if you win a major project at work, the celebration is probably a smile at best...
I think this is why someone like James Hird has given up other work, which was potentially paying even more than his role as Essendon Coach... but he is giving the other stuff up for the lure of another Premiership... ?
