Remember that guy who attached an iPhone to a helium balloon and filmed its journey to the edge of space? The Earth looked pretty curved when he recovered the phone and played the video. Illuminati or Lizard Person?

No, he was genuine. Someone intercepted the phone, and then added CGI images to it, and then released the phone. Simple really.

The answers will be:

1: perspective
2: Lizard people
3. You are in on it
4. water flows downhill, so why is there an ocean

It should be noted that Logic doesn't appear in that list.

It must be a theory that there are nearly one hundred and forty thousand adverse reactions to the TGA database right here in Australia from the vax as we are not allowed to discuss CT anymore.

However, all can verify the figure from TGA website for themselves.

But despite the censorship, you continue to discuss it ad nauseam.

Does this mean you can now verify all those other claims you make about vaccine safety by looking at the information clearly and easily accessible on the TGA website?

If not, please feel free to start a different conspiracy theory thread elsewhere.

Also, go look at DAEN

To be fair, there doesn't seem to be a consistent view of what aflat earth model should look like amongst the flerfer community.
So the azimuthal equidistant projection tends to get used as a place holder (although some do swear by it)

Maybe someone could actually come up with one that does meet some of those flight times.
They don't even need to base the map on any current ones because obviously they're all a lie. Just redraw oceans and continents as they see fit to make it work

So are you claiming then hat the majority of the 140K reports are not linked to the vax?

If so, feel free to start your very own coincidence theory thread.

The ABC had a Canberra resident on tonight parroting the narrative.......AGAIN.

Obviously I'm not, but you're the one trying to beat up a conspiracy to be scared of, however it's clear on the website how many were reported.

139,654Total adverse event reports

68,864,839Total doses administered

That works out to be around 2 reports of adverse events out of every 1000 doses.

It's also clearly stated that 14 deaths have been linked to vaccination, with none since 2022.

But feel free to have a look at DAEN

Had a quick look at some videos on YouTube and found that the whole thing seems to epitomize the difference between repeatable empirical evidence and belief based on anecdote.

Plus a whole heap of angry and condescending arseholes on both sides.

The flatearthers mostly have the assumption is the earth is flat and only accept "evidence" that confirms this assumption.

Or they spend their time finding what look to discrepancies in footage of shuttles, space station and astronauts and misrepresent this as evidence that the whole thing is a lie.

And they commit so many logical fallacies in their videos that they will often contradict themselves. But it's okay because they're only trying to prove that the earth isn't round, who cares if they do that by disproving their own flat earth theory because they don't actually have one they can prove.

When provided with evidence that their assumptions are wrong, they're misrepresenting actual events, got their maths wrong or even that they've been taken in by a Hoax, it gets quite interesting.
The people who actually try to follow a scientific process and are willing to actually have their assumptions and beliefs challenged by scientific evidence, usually these people soon find out for themselves that the flat earth conspiracy is based purely on fantasy and that's all it serves it's believers.

The hardcore believers who can't accept proof that the earth is round, usually don't debunk the proof with scientific evidence or even proper discourse. They'll deflect any questions and go on the counter attack with something completely unrelated but usually still not supported by evidence.

But then there's the ones who deliberately misrepresent anything they can possibly torture enough to fit their narrative of Flat Earth and the global conspiracy.
Crazy stuff like the video from Level Earth Observer about a rocket that (according to him) disappeared into another plane of existence for a few seconds. When in reality it was obscured by a cloud. But you couldn't see that from the short clip he showed, he didn't want his viewers actually seeing the entire launch video where you can see the clouds.

What's his motivation to hide the evidence that disproves his outlandish claims? He's preying on others credulity and beliefs to increase view counts and monetisation.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's not just one epic troll, but I think that would suffer from the same logistics issues that the flat earth cover up conspiracies suffer from.

Just look up Flat Earth or level earth on YouTube

A lot of this is taking the p1s. But there's certainly a few on here that are extremely serious, or at least were. The conspiracy theory seems to move around, first one I was aware of here was 5/11, then it was flat earth then it was covid. it will be interesting to see were it goes next. But it seems to be driven by a combination of creationists, right wing extremists and the fossil fuel lobby.

I reckon that alot of ridiculous conspiracy theories are pushed to discredit actual conspiracies that have occurred or are occurring. People think that because I believe the moon landing was a hoax that I also think the earth is flat. This is just a way to put any person that asks questions or wants to see evidence about something straight into the nut job basket.
It's my belief that the earth is round however I think we have been lied to about people walking on the moon, the footage was probably made in a Hollywood basement. Maybe the intentions of the false moon landing was to scare Russia into thinking that the USA had superior rocket technology and to bring humanity together in believing humans can achieve great unimaginable things, so keep working your 9-5 and pay your taxes peasants.

Are you thinking all six lunar landings were faked, or just the first one? All twelve men who walked on the are liars?

How much time have you spent looking into the claims of FE?

Likely less than 5 minutes lol.

There is a rather large lake in Michigan that on a very clear day you can see the Chicago skyline from 60 miles from the other side in a town called St Josephs.

Aptly named I'd suggest.

Now 60 miles on a 25000 mile circumference from a shoulder height of 5 feet is a 2166 foot drop according to earth curvature calculator.

Their explanation is each and every time its visible on a really clear day and wait for it......

its a mirage

I'd be interested know how you came around to this point of view.
Did you always believe that it had been faked?
Or what caused you to start questioning the veracity of it?
And where in the whole timeline of launching and returning rockets do you believe the transition between real and faked?

So, why can't you see it on a non-clear day? I can see plenty of things when its not perfectly blue-sky.

I drive down the escarpment from Collie regularly, and see the coast around Australind. I see plenty of ships on the horizon, but I never see other cities, or sky-scrapers, or anything else. This is a perfect location as it is generally clear, but no, there are no cities, and only the ships that are waiting to unload or be loaded.

Try it if you want to prove something for yourself instead of clinging to crazy ideas. You are up high and should be able to see for thousands of miles if it were a flat earth. But you can't.

Interesting option here. I wonder just how visible the skyline actually is?

I wonder if you could actually see the Willis tower from 60miles away without the aid of refraction over the lake? Or would it's angular size just be too small to clearly make out with the naked eye.

Using basic trigonometry and of course assuming a flat earth. The angle above horizontal to the top of the tower would be less than 1/3 of a degree when viewing it from 60miles away.
I reckon that would be extremely hard to spot with a human eye, and possibly obscured by the tiniest wavelet on the lake surface.

I wonder if he chose this scenario because it is marginally more challenging to explain how the light would be distorted over the lake to enable Chicago to be seen?

Whereas it's impossible for him to explain why a person on the shore of that lake would not be able to see the Hull of a boat 6 miles away while the superstructure or mast would still be visible.

After a while, you get a feel for the 'information' presented. It appears to be stuff sent to him from others, not actual observations or understandings.

I agree. You should be able to stand there and see the masts and wonder why you can't see the rest of the boat. If memory serves me correctly I think the blame falls on waves and other nonsense.

Others have suggested that he doesn't really believe this crap and just wants something to argue about. I can see merit with that idea.
