NIST released its final report on the causes of the collapse of 7 World Trade Center. This followed their August 21, 2008 draft report which included a period for public comments.[35] In its investigation, NIST utilized ANSYS to model events leading up to collapse initiation and LS-DYNA models to simulate the global response to the initiating events.[44] NIST determined that diesel fuel did not play an important role, nor did the structural damage from the collapse of the twin towers, nor did the transfer elements (trusses, girders, and cantilever overhangs). But the lack of water to fight the fire was an important factor. The fires burned out of control during the afternoon, causing floor beams near Column 79 to expand and push a key girder off its seat, triggering the floors to fail around column 79 on Floors 8 to 14. With a loss of lateral support across nine floors, Column 79 soon buckled - pulling the East penthouse and nearby columns down with it. With the buckling of these critical columns, the collapse then progressed east-to-west across the core, ultimately overloading the perimeter support, which buckled between Floors 7 and 17, causing the entire building above to fall downward as a single unit. The fires, fueled by office contents, along with the lack of water, were the key reasons for the collapse.

Well, today was the 1st I've read of that 'official' scenario.. I am aware that I don't understand the physics or the construction of the building 7, because I'm not an engineer.. But the people who concluded the results probably are, and I find it hard to believe these people would be able/willing to fudge results to cover up any 'inside job'.. Secrets that big are impossible to keep, especially for teh US with their track record ..


And the reasons given for the 'inside job' are to destroy some files?, that seems a long shot.. Now it's pretty clear that the twin towers were destroyed by Pious Virgins On A Plane X 2.. So are we to believe that in the midst of these Martyr attacks some CIA spooks decided to blow their building up to destroy some files?? . The building was well on its way to be gutted by fire anyway, so the 'files' might well have been doomed already..


So at the moment, the official scenario is the least 'stinky' explanation, and considering the motivation and mental state of the 9/11 Truthers I just can't take them seriously..

9/11 truthers seem convinced they are being controlled, manipulated and lied to by some Stone Cutter like organisation which is randomly destroying their own buildings in an elaborate attempt to get a micro chips inserted into our foreheads..

I'm quite happy to outsource my thinking to the experts who build planes, or design the micro processors in my computer.. There are times when our thinking needs to be outsourced simply because becoming an expert in things is quite hard..

The physics aren't hard... 9.81 m/s (Gravity), then you just need the height (wikipedia) and the duration... oh and then you just need to come up with a theory of how it fell with 0 resistance.

See, you are now betraying your ignorance of physics, once one floor collapses the immediate floor below is not strong enough to support the falling floor above, Just like I can bench press my body weight, but I can't stop 80kg falling from 2m above me.. So all that needs to be explained is how one level collapsed, and again, I don't see any structural engineers causing a fuss over this..
