There's a very large roundabout near me, so large that on Australia Day people play cricket on it.
Twice recently I've approached it looking right for traffic to merge with, then look ahead and... oh, a cute little old person coming around the wrong way.
I don't know what they must be thinking, keeping to their left lane with all these cars on the wrong side of the road, beeping and swerving.

I travel to work on the highway to Brisbane each day. Done it for many years now.
- In general always avoid old commodores.
- Don't follow trucks in bumper-to-bumper, for some reason you are more likely to get hit by the person behind you. An observation.
- Safest lane is the fast lane, people can only merge from the left and they usually don't come up from behind
