Gday all. Ive been reading plenty of the posts and picked up lots of useful stuff already - this is a great site.

Problem: Can I use Sail repair film (self adhesive stuff) to cover a small hole /tear in the canopy - the tear is on a completely flat section of material (no seam or join) and the tear is only a few mm in diameter. Can this be used as a temporary fix until I can get the time to get it repaired properly.

Should I just get it professionally patched with cloth.

All help appreciated.
