Just a lonely kook with my 9'2" Gill up here in Townsville.

Had to (ahemm.. well love it really) take up kite surfing just to be able to "surf".

On cyclone days, we get around 10 foot dumpers just north of here (Saunders Beach, etc) which is great but very few and far between. Very similar to surfing the great lakes in the US.

Magnetic Island gets some on the NW side, but it's a short ride.

Any other longdoggers up here other than SUPers?

Just though I'd post a couple of piccies of the local today in FNQ. Stop laughing. Its not Kirra, but then again neither is the crowd
