Queensland doesn't have daylight savings. This means in SEQ dawn is around 4am in the middle of summer. Its horrible.
I just run my own daylight savings. It's fairly easy, set own clocks and declare to work/family etc that I'm on daylight savings time.
Just have to be careful when making appointments or doing business/shopping in the first/last hour of the day. Which is fine, those aren't times I want to be doing much outside of routine anyway.
And I shall call it...
