cisco said..Nothing does change for the cows. They just turn up at the same time every day regardless of whether you call it 4 o'clock or 5 o'clock. Smart cows.

Yup and I wish the pro-daylight saving crew would stop bringing it up.
Nobody ever said it would affect the cows, it is just elitist yuppie city dweller crap to dump on the country people who are against it.
Probably a farmer mentioned he'd still go to bed at 9pm as it was hot n light but had to get up at 0300 rather than 0400 to milk the cows.... and smart arses latched onto it.
In reality Qld and WA have always voted against it as those who live in the bush with no aircon don't really enjoy trying to get kids to bed at 7pm in 40deg and daylight,
to have to get up frazzled kids at 0500 for the bus ride to school 100km away.
But those who see it as an opportunity to walk near the river at sunset near their McMansion take any "no" vote as indicative of hillbillies. The fading the curtains p!sstake is equally likely to be
turned around into the "yes" vote means NOT fading the paint on the Lexus 4WD used to convey kids to school.
(BTW I voted for it as I get more seabreeze windsurfing in)
